What is a QEP

A QEP (Quality Enhancement Plan) is a university wide plan for improving student learning over a five-year period. Over the next five years, 2016-2021, CSU will focus on fostering students' creative real-world problem solving skills.

The QEP is a part of accreditation process with Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC). The SACSCOC is committed to advancing the quality of higher education, and QEP is an important part of the accreditation reaffirmation. Every institution accredited by SACSCOC are required to determine the student learning needs and develop a QEP to improve student learning.

The QEP is an opportunity for an institution to assess institutional quality and effectiveness in student learning and implement strategies for improving student learning and quality of higher education.

CSU's QEP, We Solve It!: Discover, Design, Deliver was developed based on feedback from students, faculty and staff. It's devoted to improving students' creative real-world problem solving skills at the CSU, starting Fall 2016 and continue through Spring 2021.
